If you really care about the music industry and its future, if you are an artist heavily affected by this crisis, if you just love music, concert shows, bands, then you don’t want to miss this opportunity. Write this down, save this up: from November 3rd to 5th, a three-day hybrid online-offline music conference MOST WANTED: MUSIC 2020 for industry professionals, supporters, lovers, for people who are ready to come together (following the social distancing and hygiene regulations, of course) to help save what we love so much – music.
MW:M is bringing people together to exchange ideas, to network, to discuss perspectives and business models. But this is not your average industry gathering. Due to Corona and the fact that online events are becoming more and more popular, it is an unprecedented hybrid of online and offline formats, broadcasting on several digital channels and simultaneously taking place in Berlin’s Alte Münze in Mitte.
Attendees will have a unique chance to experience music technology innovations, discover new music, support their favourite industry professionals, and connect to Berlin in a different way. Right now, people are distanced from each other, there is a strong demand for communication and collaboration, that’s why the idea of TOGETHERNESS is central for MW:M this year.
MOST WANTED: MUSIC is a project by Berlin Music Commission eG, who are striving to connect the capital’s music scene with other industries and businesses. They create economically potential opportunities and support Berlin’s music artists through the challenges and digitalization process. One of the most important aspects of these projects is to develop strategies on how to maneuver through the new copyrighting politics, unfair streaming services distribution, and how to be truly diverse, sustainable and climate-friendly. This year’s events will also tackle these topics, check the impressive list of already announced speakers.
Besides the interactive talks, workshops, interviews and networking spaces, MW:M will host an award ceremony and a music showcase. Keep an eye on our posts for more info on that. Meanwhile, you can check out last year’s aftermovie to have a glimpse of what’s coming:
The tickets are already available and the prices are quite reasonable (10-20€). As the music industry suffers a lot this year, MW:M wants to make the attendance even more affordable, so if you’re a struggling artist or freelancer, you can apply for a 50% ticket discount by filling in this online form. Not only talking about support but actually supporting? We are here for this!
If you want to come but are worried about the virus situation, you should know that the conference organizers promise to provide the safest environment for all the attendees with individuality-tailored safety plans for each venue and hygiene requirements. There will be plenty of online events happening as well. Please, check MW:M for Corona safety updates as the situation around restrictions and measures is constantly developing.
