Vos aren’t actually called Vos. They’re called VŌS, but I just don’t know where that is on my keyboard. I suppose I could reach to doing the capitals at least. VOS. That much I can do. A newish electropop outfit from London, they’re pushing a lot of buttons with a lot of people.
When i (there’s that capitalisation problem again..) clicked on the link and listened to the song I was taken with it immediately, well before I stopped and read the blurb which told me that they’ve already worked with or been mixed by the likes of production teams behind FKA Twigs, Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding, and have been likened to Banks and Sohn.
The fact that they’re only coming up now is the only reason I can think of that I haven’t heard of them before – the singer’s voice flits and bashes through the piano/electro sounds/beats in a way that makes everyone happy.
Tide is a song about bridging the gulf between two people who for a short time were inseparable.
