Fever (live): new video from downtempo producer CEPASA

by | indieBerlin

indieBerlin are excited to presentย Fever, the latest live video from Ukrainian electronic artist and composer Cepasa.

Filmed at Malaya Opera in up and coming counterculture music capital Kiev, it’s a clear example of his unique experimentalism which seems to have drawn him quite a following. A mix of house, techno and electronica, it’s difficult to put a pin in the genre Cepasa subscribes to – not that you’d want to, of course, as part of the charm is not knowing what to expect or where he’s going with his beats.

With an ethereal and mellow atmosphere, the intriguingly layered melodies and meditative dronal textures seem to be significant features of his latest recordย Dark Beauty, released in November 2018. It’s a refreshing take on downtempo, standing as an eyebrow-raising blend of different styles and techniques. His latest singleย Feverย is out today – a snappy combination of husky vocals and raw and captivating movements. It’s clean and minimal, not needing any excessive decoration to say what he needs to say.

Beautifully produced and authentically slick, the artist otherwise known as Pavlo Lenchenko is definitely one to watch. As an artist, he certainly seems to be cementing himself in the electronica scene: you’ll find updates on gigs near you hereย (if this live video is anything to go by, it’s a show you don’t want to miss).
