After wowing crowds at Berlin Midsommar Festival 2017, these Swedish glam-rock boy-wonders with an attitude are back to blow us away at Basement Bash Vol.X.
indieBerlin: Tell us a little bit about your musical background.
Anton: We have no common role models between us, so our musical background as a band is quite unclear really. But we all cried when Lemmy died.
Spaghetti Crime, like a Noir movie but with really hot model guys that play guitars and get away with really petty crimes.
indieBerlin: Tell us something about yourself that you always wanted to say but no one has ever asked you yet.
Axel: We are all really good at table tennis, and one of our closest friends holds the current Swedish foosball championship title.

indieBerlin: How does the songwriting process work for you?
Charlie: We just play! But we definitely don’t just ”jam” songs together, it’s more of a hive mind sort of thing where we all just close our eyes and share a consciousness. Every one writes their part of the song at the same time as the rest writes theirs.
indieBerlin: If you had to describe your music to a deaf person, what would you say?
Charlie: It’s like a punch in the face, but also a hit to the ear.

indieBerlin: If your music was a movie, which genre would it be in?

indieBerlin: Where do you get your inspiration from?
Anton: A lot comes from simply hanging out with each other without having to do a bunch of boring shit like going to work or such, and instead get drunk or watch a great movie. We are all best friends and we love just spending time together and that’s a big part of the creative inspiration.

indieBerlin: What was your biggest stage fuck-up?
Axel: When we played at a Stockholm punk-venue called Cyklopen about two years ago Charlie and Chrille got supper wasted and totally fucked up the gig. Chrille fell a sleep while playing and Charlie threw beer cans at the crowd and fell into the drum kit three times and wrecked it. Almost the entire crowd left except for a few very drunk friends who had to sing all the lyrics since Charlie couldn’t stand up straight, least of all sing or play. After that gig we all hated each other and didn’t speak for weeks.
indieBerlin: How do you feel about covering a song?
Chrille: We love doing covers! We have previously covered Bowies Let’s Dance and Heroes. Only problem is that we are way to shitty musicians to actually preform a cover without completely ruining the song.
indieBerlin: How do you think the audience in Berlin is different to the audience in Stockholm?
Charlie: The crowd in Stockholm stands very very still even if the band is playing the hardest hardcore punk shit, unless they are really really drunk and then they will mosh to Belle and Sebastian. The Berlin crowd stands very very still at all times, even if they are super duper wasted. So that’s one difference!
