Lil Taty answers our signature interview

by | indieBerlin

DJ and producer Lil Taty, has been on the rise with his authentic sounds, riding the waves of  FACT Mag and Radar Radio. Rarely is he one for words. With him, expression comes through his music and DJ sets, but we offered him to reply to our signature IndieBerlin interview and his last answer might just melt your heart.

indieberlin: How does the producing process work for you?

Lil Taty: The most important part for me is finding perfect samples. When I finish that part, I concentrate layering the track until it finally gets the shape of a real song.

indieberlin: If you had to describe your music to a deaf person, what would you say?

Lil Taty: Intense yet calming.

indieberlin: If your music was a movie, which genre would it be in?

Lil Taty: Giallo.

indieberlin: Tell us a secret about yourself.

Lil Taty: There are no secrets – everything’s transparent.

indieberlin: Where do you get your inspiration from?

Lil Taty: Most of the day I spend surfing on the internet – so I guess that’s my main inspiration.

indieberlin: What was the last concert you went to?

Lil Taty: Lee Scratch Perry & Mad Professor.

indieberlin: What was your biggest stage fuck-up?

Lil Taty: There are always fuck-ups on the stage – basically whenever you play in the club you need to think how to overcome some new problem or mishap (for example USB doesn’t work on some CDJs – and so on, the list of potential fuck-ups is quite long).

indieberlin: Do you prefer to play big festivals/stages or smaller club gigs?

Lil Taty: It makes no differences to me – I love to play no matter where ?.

indieberlin: Do you dream in colour or black and white?

Lil Taty: Colour.

indieberlin: Do you want to greet somebody ;-))?

Lil Taty: I want to greet my grandmother <3 <3 <3
