Nick Murphy comes to Germany in October for three nights only!

by | indieBerlin

The artist formerly known as Chet Faker will be bringing his unique sound to Berlin this October – and tickets go on sale today. It’s sure to sell out, so we strongly recommend you snap yours up as soon as possible.

We’ve all been gloomily gazing out of windows into the distance, wondering when he’ll finally release his second album. Luckily for us, Nick Murphy announced his sophomore record Run Fast Sleep Naked, released on 26th April through Future classic. It’s been almost five years since the Australian’s critically and commercially acclaimed debut Built On Glass, and with a new persona to boot, it’s sure to be an intriguing piece of art.

Having just about recovered from a seemingly endless sold-out tour and eyebrow-raising levels of success, Murphy’s new record is clearly a labour of love. Recorded in Brooklyn, New York, on this occasion he employs an entire orchestra alongside fifteen other musicians to create dense and complex textures. Don’t be fooled into thinking that’s he’s lost his trademark sunny sound, but be aware that this latest album marks a new and different chapter.

Run Fast Sleep Naked has a different quality of depth than his previous work – and he’s clearly not afraid to experiment a little. We’re never sure what to expect with long-awaited second albums, but we can assure that this will by no means be a let down.

We implore you to reserve your tickets to his October 15th show at Tempodrom as soon as possible – they’ll go live at 10:00 today, so don’t miss out!
