Sebadoh new single out, new album in September!

by

Legendary indie-rock pioneers Sebadoh have announced their 1st album in 14 years. The longtime project of Lou Barlow, Jason Loewenstein, and Bob D’Amico will re-emerge with the full-length album “Defend Yourself” on September 17th.

The band released a precursor to the album known as the Secret EP. They quietly posted the songs onto Bandcamp a few months ago and then US label Joyful Noise released the songs as a vinyl numbered-edition release with just 300 pressed.

These are Sebadoh’s ?rst recordings since 1999’s “The Sebadoh” (Sub Pop). As you’ll quickly hear, the band has re-emerged with a surprising and new-found energy. While tracks like “Keep The Boy Alive” and “Arbitrary High” fall into the “classic Lou” territory, the country-tinged “I Don’t Mind” and aggressively-approached “All Kinds”
and “My Drugs” move toward new and honest musical territory.

We eagerly await the album in September and hope that Sebadoh is planning to play in Berlin at some time in the near future!
