Talented twins Tegan and Sara are doing their thing in Astra on Tuesday

Tegan and Sara, in case you don’t know them, were born twins in 1980 in Canada. They began playing music and writing songs together at the age of 15 and independently released their first album straight after they finished school; they were noticed by Neil Young’s manager and were duly signed to Young’s label Vapour.

It was their fourth album released in 2004 which gave them major success, being also released on Sanctuary Records, and with a song from the album being covered by the White Stripes.

Their latest and seventh album Heartthrob, however, released at the beginning of 2013, has really hit home, landing on Nr.3 of the Billboard charts on its release and selling 49,000 copies in its first week.

Tegan and Sara have toured constantly since they left high school and they’re doing it again – which brings them to play in Privatclub in Berlin on the 18th in Astra. Go check them out.
