The brilliant OCB Paper Sessions – this month it’s Kitty Daisy & Lewis, everyone’s indie sibling trio darlings

by | indieBerlin

OCB – the cigarette papers that have accompanied many progressions through rehearsal rooms, pubs and all-nighters, is doing more cool stuff with its Paper Sessions…

…a monthly filmed session promoting contemporary music in all its range and diversity, focusing on originality, quality and eclecticism – much like the cigarette papers themselves.

All musical genres and styles are featured, and the acts taken from the most exciting new talent emerging from around the world – it’s not just pop-rock and soul, but also electronica, hip hop, jazz, folk….it’s a virtual, worldwide, 24/7 music venue where you can go and hang out, and listen to new and old bands and new and old sounds.

Kitty Daisy and Lewis live OCB Paper Sessions on indieBerlin in actionThis month features an indieBerlin favourite – Daisy, Kitty & Lewis – the multi-instrumentalist brother/sisters trio with a taste for old school rock and roll, who started performing in their early teens and since then have gone on to fill music halls and play repeatedly at festivals including Glastonbury and Bestival; supported any number of big names including Mark Ronson and Coldplay; and who count among their supporters loads of faces including Amy Winehouse, David Lynch and the Eagles of Death Metal.

And they’ve just released a new album, Kitty Daisy & Lewis The Third, an analogue production recorded in a derelict Indian restaurant in Camden, London, and produced by none other than Mick Jones of the Clash.

We’re happy to see OCB supporting independent music in this way, joining other monthly sessions like the Mahogany Sessions, Colours etc, in ensuring that the best new talent gets seen and heard. Other artists featured this year include Kahhdja Bonet, Lambchop, Bad Gyal, Marika Hackman and  Mammal Hands.
