Violetta Zironi – new video single One More Goodbye

Take Lana del Rey, Norah Jones, a ukulele and an Italian sense of cool and what do you get?

Violetta Zironi, one-time Italian pop star-in-the-making, started playing at the age of 3. She got into ukulele, did Italian Factor X as a teenager, got signed to Sony, was spontaneously invited by Ben E. King to perform Stand By Me with him, had a  song used in an American TV commercial, toured Europe, and then decided to head off and take a completely different approach to music.

She took her acoustic guitar, worked on her own songs, moved to Berlin, left the mainstream pop world behind, and….at the tender age of 22 and with a ton of history already behind her, here she is, lauded in the press and likened to an Americana-folk mashup of Lana del Rey, Norah Jones and Katie Melua.

After releasing her EP Half-Moon Lane earlier this year (which by now has garnered over 1,3 million plays on Spotify), on 27th July she brought out the single One More Goodbye, with an acoustic session video to go with it, shot in an old country house hotel in Berlin. Simple, unadorned, the song is as beautiful as her voice and speaks for itself…check it out below…
