Wild Child’s calm and indie-pop wilderness is coming to Kantine am Berghain on 28.05

by | indieBerlin

From Austin, Texas, maturing their sounds for over half a decade, Wild Child blends multispectral layers of music with perfect harmonising and with a seven-piece pop mini-orchestra, they’re experimental yet authentic and raw sounds are something not to be missed next Monday at Kantine am Berghain!

For seven years, Wild Child has developed each of their albums internationally by jumping studio to studio without ever saying no to new ideas. Bringing a raw indie-pop and melodious part-Jazz feeling, there’s always authentic emotion and creativity within their work.

Originally Wild Child was a two-piece band with Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins in 2010 with their first album Pillow Talk. The lead vocals of the group, they now have multiple artists in the form of a small orchestra: Wilson on violin and vocals, Beggins on ukulele and vocals, Sadie Wolfe on cello, Matt Bradshaw on keyboards, trumpet and harmonica, Tom Myers on drums, Cody Ackors on guitar and trombone and Tyler Osmond on bass.

Making lists of their favourite artists and producers and constantly seeking their inspirations, together they collaborated their unique insights to create their fourth and latest album Expectations, gaining a loyal and grand fan base, with over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Bringing a raw indie-pop and melodious part-Jazz feeling, there’s always authentic emotion and creativity within their work.

The development of the album is a storytelling journey within itself including topics of failed love, expectations (evidently!), personal growth and awakening. Each track is very authentically unique but somehow fitting together seamlessly.
