Kurt Vile and The Violators roll back into Berlin in June and we want you to join us.
The prolific blues-rocker from Pennsylvania, USA has been an indieBerlin favourite since way back (see our previous reviews here and here). This time he’s bringing the band to Astra Kulturhaus for yet another dose of Berlin.
It’s easy to forget that the man who blew up in 2013 with Wakin On A Pretty Daze had already been plugging away for years before then. Vile, the co-founder of The War On Drugs has averaged almost an album a year since 2008.

Recent times have seen Vile refine his brand of indie rock and create a compelling live show along the way. His songwriting ranges from the Americana sound of tracks like ‘I’m An Outlaw’ to the beat-driven but ballad-like ‘Hysteria’.
His endearing collaborative album with Australia’s Courtney Barnett in 2017 was a welcome addition to the catalogue, before 2018’s ‘Bottle It In’ took things back to basics. Whatever the setlist, Kurt Vile and The Violators promise to impress when they arrive in Berlin on 4th June.
