Win tickets for the opening of the 11th edition of British Shorts Film Festival with White Wine

by | indieBerlin

200 films, seven days, five venues – now in its 11th year, British Shorts once again brings international prize-winning short films to Berlin’s screens, including numerous world and German premieres.
All kinds of films are represented, from drama, comedy, documentary, experimental film, music video, thriller to horror. As part of the festival opening at HAU Hebbel am Ufer, the films nominated for the jury prize will be introduced and an exciting programme with works from all genres will be presented.

The Screening features the animation “Delete Beach” by Phil Collins (a cooperation with Mica Levi and Studio4°C), the short film debut “Unseen” by theatre director Katie Mitchell, the comedy “The Silent Man” starring top comedian Simon Amstell and the entertaining doc “Fish Story” by The Guardian film critic Charlie Lyne – just to name a few.

The line-up:
Delete Beach (Animation), Dir: Phil Collins, 7:00
Diagnosis (Drama), Dir: Eva Riley, 18:00
La Madre Buena (Comedy), Dir: Sarah Clift, 6:00
Men Talk About Mother (Animation/Documentary), Dir: Bunny Schendler, 8:00

Following the screening the band White Wine (Portland/Leipzig) will present their album “Killer Brilliance,” which was released this autumn. Its sound is located somewhere between “Nerdrock” and chamber pop – a work with the “potential to become a classic” (Intro). In addition, DJ Betti Bo Bikepunk will play rock’n’roll, garage and soul in WAU, and you can watch experimental films by Ruaidhri Ryan in the entry lounge.

The entire festival programme, with all the screenings, concerts, parties, a free film workshop including a 48-hour film project, an exhibition, an open screening, talks and much more at Sputnik Kino, Acudkino, City Kino Wedding and Kino Zukunft is available here.
