Win tickets to Jazzanova (live) & Friends at Festsaal Kreuzberg on Friday, Oct. 12th!

by | indieBerlin

DJ/producer collective Jazzanova —founder of Sonar Kollektiv record label— will perform live alongside their friends David Lemaitre and Rachel Sermanni on Friday, October 12th at Festsaal Kreuzberg.
indieBerlin is raffling a pair of tickets! See how to win below.

Alex Barck, Claas Brieler, Axel Reinemer, Jürgen von Knoblauch and Stefan Leisering will perform songs from their latest album The Pool which dropped this summer.

Recorded in Berlin at the impressive Jazzanova Recording Studio, The Pool is their most mature album to date. Featuring a wealth of talented collaborators by the likes of rapper Oddisee, singer Rachel Sermanni and their favorite Detroit musician Paul Randolph, their third studio album represents over twenty years of their collective experience and expertise in nearly all facets of making music.

While their last studio album Of All the Things came out in 2008, The Pool reveals just how busy the group has been in the past decade. Since the Funkhaus Studio Sessions (2012) live album, all members of Jazzanova have been deeply immersed in their own musical projects, from A&R for Sonar Kollektiv and hosting radio shows to DJing clubs and mixing and mastering other’s records. Life’s other projects, like raising children, have greatly influenced the group, too.

Expressing an eclectic mix of electronic music, hip-hop, jazz, funk, soul and pop, Jazzanova’s signature sound shines through on The Pool. Stream it here on Bandcamp.

Check out their live performance with Paul Randolph on Boiler Room in Rio de Janiero last year for a peek of what’s to come on the 12th.

The live show begins at 20:00 and carries into the night as Alex Barck and Claas Brieler get behind the decks and spin the afterparty.
