Wire Live – 22.11.2015 – PBHFCLUB

How easy is to shift to post-punk before punk starts stalling? It was December 1977 when Wire released Pink Flag, one of the best debut albums in music’s history, which introduced post and art punk to the masses. Almost 40 years and 13 studio albums later, Wire is the only band from the so called first wave of British punk that has been able to keep the standards high on every single release. Their last self-titled album remains as unpredictable as their debut and makes me think why don’t they simply do a “Pink Flag world tour” take the money and rest? I guess my question will be answered on Sunday at PBHFCLUB and I am pretty sure that Wire have many more to offer to world’s music with releasing new music than they did with their debut album in the past. It’s really important that bands like Wire get the maximum support from people who truly love good music. And I’m sure that they’ll get it…
