X Ambassadors: it’s Not Only ‘JoyFul’ But Packed with Rock and Country Harmonies

by | indieBerlin

In Berlin, it is all about energy and vibrations. For X Ambassadors the city not only sounds beautiful but feels amazing, and among that statement and a high degree of rock and a few country resonances the American band uncovered a large piece of their new upcoming album JoyFul at the Columbia Theater of Kreuzberg.

Screams were heard, and if you are into that kind of things, t-shirts flew off too.

New York musicians X Ambassadors made a sold out in their Berlin concert for the European tour of their most recent single. Singer Sam Harris came out on stage displaying a full strike of energy and ecstasy in the company of the eccentric movements of keyboardist Casey Harris and drummer Adam Levin.

Special guests Morgxn –which talent was highly praised by Harris – opened the show with a set of electro-R&B songs that paved the way for the main attraction of the evening.

the eye-opener of the concert was the rock-country spirit that definitely dominated the whole evening

Known for a sound a little bit darker and deep, the eye-opener of the concert – including some new tracks played exclusively for the Berlin audience – was the rock-country spirit that definitely dominated the whole evening. However, the excitement was obvious and the crowd practically sang along every new and old song played by an overly euphoric Sam Harris that didn’t stop moving and sweating his way around the masses.

This song goes to all the lowlifes, including myself

“Berlin I am sure you know what I am talking about, this is the capital of the party life. Did you ever wake up the next morning after partying too hard, with a little bit of a headache, and maybe you did some things you regret or say some things you regret? This song goes to all the lowlifes, including myself’, stated Harris before adding Low Life to the setlist, which included songs like Ahead of Myself, Jungle, Loveless, Hang On, Don’t Stay, Gorgeous, Hold You Down and Litost.

New projects are always surrounded by an atmosphere of anticipation and demand. The hits that once placed a band into the number one charts are dangerous in that way. Would the rest of their material level up to it? Will a new album claim that same essence that made all of those musical ears fall in love?

their new project is, besides obviously Joyful, an assurance of their craze for music

There is no doubt that X Ambassadors brought all their soul and rock to the stage to convince their fans that their new project is, besides obviously Joyful, an assurance of their craze for music.

In this sense, JoyFul is about perseverance in times of strife, struggle, hardship, and heartbreak, as asserted by lead singer Sam Harris in an interview with the San Diego Tribune of America.

‘The album is, appropriately, about that theme, about — when your world feels like it’s falling apart — how do you cope and what do you do? I’m not even claiming I have any answers. But something that helps me is just to be joyful about being here and appreciate the heartbreak, and anything else, because that’s part of the wonder of being alive”.

‘Berlin you sound amazing’ drifted into a jam-packed Columbia Theater

Of course, the night could not end without the iconic song that made these Americans position their way into the music industry, so to wrap up a hectic and fervent presentation the tune of Unsteady, which was sang along word by word by the crowd, closed the appearance while the words ‘Berlin you sound amazing’ drifted into a jam-packed Columbia Theater.
