indierepublik presents: Kitty solaris’ mystery girl

Kitty Solaris has been a stalwart of Berlin’s indie scene since the late ZEROES when she released her debut album Future Air Hostess.

Launching her own label Solaris Empire around the same time, she has used the imprint to release not only her own music, but also that of dozens of indie bands that may otherwise not have seen the light of day.

Together with her own reliable output, Solaris Empire, and the indie fixture Lo Fi Lounge that she has been putting on every Wednesday for over a decade now, the indie Berlin scene would be a different place without her around.

A slice of idiosyncratic indie folk rockpop

Which is another reason why we’re proud to be able to premier her brand new video single Mystery Girl, out today, taken from her upcoming album.

A slice of idiosyncratic indie folk rockpop, Mystery Girl (the video directed by Pleiadesounds) was inspired by a picture by artist Kevin Coyne, and for Kitty “stands for the connection with the world through creativity”. It’s out through Solaris Empire with distribution by Broken Silence.
