In 1972, you asked ‘Who the f**k is Alice?’. Well times have changed, and Nature in the City invites you to the Privatclub on 25 November 2017, to find out for yourself.

Celebrate the end of the year with the release show of their single ‘Alice’ featuring a rare full band constellation, with other guest musicians. The release precedes Nature in the City’s much anticipated album launch in early 2018.

You may already know the band from their 2017 Summer festival appearances at Artlake, Feel Festival, and Rocken am Brocken. If not, prepare to introduce yourself to two boisterous, quirky yet stylish musicians hailing from Friedrichshain.

Their debut single ‘Alice’ depicts a young foreign musician who frequents the Berlin music scene. The story shows the essence of Berlin culture, celebrating how the city welcomes those who bring their artistic flare, raw talent and passion for vibrant diversity.

The band’s lyrics pay homage to Berlin’s rich cultural scene

The band’s lyrics pay homage to Berlin’s rich cultural scene through eyes that feel a cross cultural sense of belonging. Lingering between the space of America and Germany, Berlin musicians Robin Sellin and Johannes Hegner sing English lyrics influenced by their time in the U.S.A, with a signature Berlin style.

The band is an icon for the era of global citizenship and its influence on art. Their music is for everyone who identifies with Berlin in their heart, wherever they call home. Nature in the City is fun, introspective and authentic and their uplifting songs sprout joy in the cracked, hardened pavement of day to day life.

song is a metaphor for inspiration itself

Alice, just out of arms reach but at the forefront of the mind and song is a metaphor for inspiration itself. The seduction of the muse within the artists mind beguiles the songwriter in his waking life and dreams. Luckily for you, Nature in the City managed to capture that creative energy in song, to deliver a flirtatious narrative with upbeat, dance worthy vibes.

The night will open with singer/songwriter Paul Weber, and his new EP “In Between”, inspired by American and British Rock.

Single ‘Alice’ out on November 24, 2017.
