Chilean-Colombian quintet Los Pitutos are bringing their unique brand of Latin music to Marie Antoinette on April 17th!

Founded in 2015, Los Pitutos is a Berlin-based Latin American collective, whose experimental rhythms, rich textures and seamless cohesion results in an energetic and fiery melting pot of different styles. Breathing life back into old school romantic Boleros whilst exploring the traditional folk roots of its Chilean and Colombian members, the band released their self-titled debut album in late 2018 to hugely positive critical reviews. Making a rare appearance in Berlin, the ridiculously talented musicians will be performing tracks from their first release, as well as a select few songs from their upcoming record, slated for release towards the end of 2019.

The band’s live shows are an immersive experience – previous sold-out Berlin shows include Sinnesfreude, Non Only Jazz Café, Oui, and Madame – having also made an acclaimed appearance at Secrets Festival 2015 as well as the main stage of the Berliner Philharmonie in 2016.

Each member of the group is a connoisseur of their respective instruments: all are internationally renowned musicians, composers and/or conductors who have studied the craft for years. Their obvious mastery of their instrument is blindingly apparent, with this unparalleled intensity helping them to continue to push the boundaries of the Latin American genre.

Considering their last show at Marie Antoinette was completely packed and dozens of disappointed would-be attendees had to be turned away as it sold out, we’d strongly recommend you get your tickets as soon as possible.
