Video Premiere: Kamoos – X-Ray Me

by | indieBerlin

Berlin-based trio Kamoos have just released their new single “X-ray me” on Duchess Box Records!

The mysterious droning track that fits somewhere in the realm of psychedelia is described by founding member Juliette as “a cross-over between Love Buzz by Shocking Blue and something out of a David Lynch movie”.

Kamoos was formed by local garage band veterans Juliette (UK) and Vivi (Germany) who, together in their modest rehearsal space, transformed their awkward harmonies and heavy beats into the band’s sexy weird post-punk, psychedelic sound. They were then joined by drummer Felix after seeing him perform.

The three members combined have played in a number of beloved Berlin bands such as Full Moon Fiasco, Voodoo Beach, Imaginary French, and Juliette and the Sin, and are influenced by “everything from Talking Heads to the Black Lips to M.I.A. to Nirvana to the Budos Band”.

If you like what you hear, Kamoos will be celebrating their new single with a release party on February 14th at Toast Hawaii, supported by fellow Berliners Le Vent and a surprise guest…

Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming info on the gig!
