…and throw a MASSIVE PARTY!
Yes, that’s what Thursday night in Berlin looks like: At Marie Antoinette, in Holzmarktstrasse in Friedrichshain (near S-Bhf Jannowitzbrücke) Robert Grant and indieBerlin are throwing a launch party for his new poetry collection.
If you’re the type to yawn and reach for the mouse when you read the words “poetry collection” think again, since Robert Grant – a larger-than-life, UK-born, Berlin-based and internationally performing spoken word artist, writer and independent filmmaker, has a take on life that will either make you chuckle, double-take or just stop for a moment and think…..ahhhh…ah yes…I see…
Or words to that effect
Musically there’s a gamut of styles, but it’s all handmade music and a showcase of some of the best independent musical talent hanging out in Berlin today.
From the acoustic duo loveliness of Scott & LIla, to the electro-punk-indie-rock provocativeness of Kat Koan, through spoken word and reflections from New York artist Konrad Kinard (who used to run a venue called SIN Bar down in Neukölln, some of you may remember it), plus indieRepublik’s own Noel Maurice and UK indie darling Freddie Dickson…
It promises to be a show worth writing home about.
And – I almost forgot! WE’VE GOT FIVE PAIRS OF TICKETS TO WIN!
Just write to us at noel(at)indierepublik.com and say I REMAIN BLIND TOO and you’re in with a (pretty good) chance!
