Nuno and the End
Nuno Filipe aka Nuno and the End is an award-winning musician, composer and producer originally from Madeira. Having played and spent time in Portugal, London, Paris and now Berlin, his unique approach to composition and improvisation has made him a stand-out artist to watch. His last album, ‘Infinity’, came out in 2022 and he is the first artist signed to indieRepublik Records. His new album ‘Beacon’ is set for release in early 2024.
NUNO FILIPE
Nuno Filipe is a talented pianist, musician, and music composer hailing from Portugal. With a career spanning several decades, Nuno has left an indelible mark on the music scene through his diverse musical projects and contributions.
Born and raised in Madeira Island, Nuno’s musical journey began at an early age. He honed his skills and acquired a solid foundation in piano at the Conservatório-Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Piano.
His passion for music composition led him to pursue a Music Composition Honour Bachelor Degree at CNR Rueil-Malmaison – Paris, further expanding his artistic repertoire.
In addition to his accomplishments as a pianist, Nuno Filipe has explored various musical genres and projects, with his collaborations with artists like Diana Duarte, Sarah Alden, Vania Fernandes, Lidiane Dualibi, and Moun Pinz has showcased his versatile skills as a session musician and pianist, enriching countless musical endeavors.
Nuno’s creative spirit found its expression through his own music projects: “Nuno and the End,” a musical endeavor that spanned several years, produced albums like “Seance,” “Nowhere”, “Light Ahead”, and his most recent “Infinity”.
Notably, Nuno’s composition and production skills were acknowledged earlier this year by the International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA), where he was nominated for “Best Rock Performance” and “People’s Choice” with the song “Eternity” by Nuno and the End.
