Dan Deacon, indie weirdo legend and possible genius, in Schwuz on the 20th – we have two tickets free

by | indieBerlin

Dan Deacon is nothing if not a man who has flown his freak flag high. With extremely weird videos and extraordinarily individualistic music, Deacon laughs in the face of bowing to mainstream pressure. And it’s paid off – with 18 million hits on the short film he made with a friend, Drinking Out of Cups, he is also these days recognised as a serious musician, delving into modern classical composition and scoring for films for the likes of Scorcese.

Deacon has performed his work at several leading music and art venues, including London’s Barbican Centre, Carnegie Hall, the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Getty Center in Los Angeles, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden at the Smithsonian. His latest album America was released on Domino in August 2012.

Dan Deacon is live in Schwuz on the 20th and we have a pair of tickets to win. Write to win at indieberlin.de. The most Dan Deaconesque mail wins the tickets.
