indieBerlin Exclusive: Kompozyt featuring legendary Scratch Lee Perry

by | indieBerlin

indieBerlin is proud to be able to premiere the single Hidden Force by Kompozyt, featuring Jamaican dub legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry!

Polish brothers Piotr Zuralski and Michal Zuralski, these days based in and operating out of London, are the electronic dub duo Kompozyt. Responsible for a string of innovative tracks, they decided that they were sick of electronic music being too computer-controlled, and for their release Synchronicity stuck to analogue synths and drum machines, creating an atmospheric swirl of dub sounds, which indieBerlin is proud to be able to premiere here.

Lee is of course the Jamaican legendary producer who worked with tons of artists, including Bob Marley right at the beginning of the 70s, and who helped to create dub music with what was then an unusual way of playing with the effects in his studio. Since then Perry has worked with a huge number of artists, released masses of music, and gone down in musical history.

On track 1 “Hidden Force”, electronic music wizards Kompozyt are joined by the dub Legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry to bring you a heavy-hitting and instant bounce-inducing dub techno piece.

On track 2 “Homesick”, Kompozyt brings you a 7′ version of ‘Homesick’ – dub and trip-hop inspired experimental electronica with Olgierd Dokalski on the trumpet. Olgierd’s incredible performances of real haunting beauty further reinforce the analog, live and improvisational aspect of Kompozyt music.

Both tracks are special vinyl versions of track from Kompozyt’s debut album: ‘Synchronicity’ – out everywhere now on digital and CD.

Brother-duo Kompozyt is also the driving force behind London-based label Trees Will Remain Recordings.
