Has it really been almost half a year since we last saw Tess Parks?
Understandably, we’re slightly miffed about the fact that she sat out the cold Berlin Winter while we’ve had to put up with this shit since November. But we’ve decided to forgive her, especially now that Spring is back and has brought Tess with it.
The grungey, Toronto-born songstress impressed us with a low-key performance at Urban Spree last year and returns this month as part of a European tour of her latest album with Anton Newcombe (of The Brian Jonestown Massacre fame).
Following on from Parks’ own debut album back in 2013, she has twice collaborated with Newcombe, meaning there wil be a wealth of tracks to choose from for the upcoming gig at Lido. We’re personally hoping for ‘Grunewald‘, last year championed by Iggy Pop as further evidence of Parks’ rising star.
Because we’re just too god-damned-nice to you lot, we’ve also got two tickets to the show to give away. Email your full name to win(at)indieberlin.de by Monday 8th April to be in with a chance of winning.
