Fresh off the release of his latest record Cinderella, Giessen-based songwriter L’aupaire will be gracing Berlin with his presence next Tuesday.
indieBerlin are pleased to announce that we’re offering a pair of free tickets to you, dear reader, before he embarks on the festival circuit this summer. With a delicious voice and beautifully crafted songs, he’s one to keep your beady eyes on (you read it here first).
L’aupaire‘s husky vocals (think Tom Waits meets The Tallest Man On Earth) and wonderfully curious composition style are the perfect pairing, and, with such a distinct narrative structure, he’s sure to win you over. Taking place in the Berliner institution that is Lido, expect a fairly mellow and laid-back show in true Kreuzbergian fashion.
Having taken a three-year hiatus, the artist otherwise known as Robert Laupert is about to drop his new album Reframing – a heartfelt collection of songs addressing “the notion that profundity can sometimes only be reached via the contrast between joy and sadness”.
Lido is absolutely the ideal venue for this new journey, rolling intimacy and spectacle into a charming velvet-tinged concert space. He’s not played a single show during this break, and we’re excited to see him back in form doing what he does best.
